The THERMOTRON 4 is an electronically
controlled heater / cooler that heats and cools the
refrigerator temperature alarm probes to allow
testing of the alarm set-points. The alarm probe is
placed in the remote module containing 250 ml of
glycerol solution, the controller is set to cool and,
with the flip of a switch, the THERMOTRON 4 will
cool the probe to the low set-point. When the
alarm sounds, you just read the alarm
temperature from the alarm display.
To test the high alarm set - point, you simply flip
the switch to heat, and record the temperature
from the alarm display when the alarm sounds.
During the entire alarm testing process, the staff
has complete access to the contents of the
refrigerator - WITHOUT INTERFERING WITH THE
TEST!
